For the autumn-winter collection 2010, Valentino has added a “Rock” edge to his creations. Here we find t-shirts with tulle, tulle dresses to wear with a leather jacket. His range has extended to younger, more “fun” customers. The prices on this autumn – winter 2010 collection are more accessible.
The bow remains Valentino’s ever-present signature style.

An outstanding creator: a closer look at the events that have marked Valentino’s exceptional career.
1959 : Followed a course in fashion design at the Chambre Syndicale couture school in Paris, then apprentice to Guy Laroche and Jean Desses. Valentino Garavani opens his first workshop.
1962 : Works with Giancarlo Giammeti who is responsible for the business development of the Valentino fashion house.
1965 : Valentino is recognized as the spokesman of Italian haute couture.
1968 : Valentino’s consecration is the huge success with the “Bianca”Valentino collection.
The first “V” label by Valentino.
1969 : Birth of his Boutique line; the first Valentino shop opens in Milan, Italy.
1970 : Presentation of the first ready to wear Valentino collections
1971 : 1st Valentino menswear boutique in Rome
1975 : 1st ready to wear collection fashion parade, Paris
1976 : Valentino boutiques open in Rome – New York – Tokyo
1984 : Valentino celebrates 25 years career
1989 : 1st show of the Valentino Couture Collection in Paris
1991 : Valentino celebration: “Valentino: 30 years of magic” at the Capitol Museum
1998 : The Valentino House is taken over by the H.d.P group (a holding company)
